Obama keeps telling us that passing cap-and-tax will 'create jobs' and 'reduce our dependence on foreign oil'. It does completely the opposite! Not only will EVERYONE'S energy bills go up, some estimate up to $3,500 per year, oil and coal businesses will simply leave the US and do their business overseas where they can avoid these strict government policies. Estimates of 2.5 millions job loss per year is also a possibility, where Obama's clean energy will not even offset that by 10%. Most of those jobs are temporary jobs building these wind mills and solar panels. Plus, these have a requirement - Sun and Wind. If it's a cloudy day with no wind, I guess we will have no power, or will have to buy it from foreign countries.
We need to drill for oil in the US NOW. We have billions of barrels just waiting to be drilled and Obama will have nothing to do with it.
Don't even get me started with those stupid CFL bulbs. I posted about these toxic, environmentally unfriendy bulbs in a previous post.
