Since Sheila Jackson Lee basically wants an act of congress to
change hurricane names to make them less ‘lily white’, (article here) I want to ask congress to pass a bill to make Brinks Home Security (now called Broadview) marketing group to stop making their ads so ‘lily white’.
If you notice, all the ‘criminals’ in the ads are all white males with a 5 o’clock shadow and the families are all white. Where are Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, Quanell X, and Sheila Jackson Lee on this subject? Why aren’t minorities portraying the criminal or the target family?
