Venezuelan communist dictator Hugo Chavez, who I like to call the Red Turd, successfully implemented what the far left liberals in the US have been trying to do for decades - shut down opposing media. In the US we call it the 'fairness doctrine', which will
require equal left and right coverage on media, mainly aiming at Foxnews and MOST AM talk shows. If it is implemented in the US, right wing talk show hosts will be forced off air because advertising will fall, and it will not be profitable to stay in business because no one wants to listen to hate-filled liberals yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. It didn't work with Air America, and it will never work. Liberals control the television, but cannot make a dent in the tens of millions of listeners on AM radio. All the conservatives have is Foxnews and AM talk radio. Obama wants to shut them down.
Now look at the news from Venezuela. The Communist government claims these radio stations didn't have the proper permits. That's probably true because dissenting opinion towards the Red Turd would pretty much ensure their operating permits would be denied.
